What are you doing for the summer? A new feature available to Ksenia Mack students and their friends is Guitar Summer Camp. Pour the wine, sip a brew and pluck the strings. A perfect way to try out your new songs in a group setting. Whether you want to just play along or debut a song, this is a great way to have fun and learn.
Ksenia performed with the Porch Party Mamas earlier this month to a packed house at Johnny D’s. The half-time show featured up-and-coming singer and songwriter Liz Cook, a once Ksenia Mack guitar student. Above is a picture of Liz and Ksenia performing at the show.
Ksenia Mack has been teaching guitar for 15 years now. She has opened up for the likes of the Indigo Girls, Willie Nelson and blues legend Robert Cray. One of her most memorable performances was with her husband 10 years ago at their wedding reception. Robert (Castagna not Cray) played some blues licks while Ksenia held forth with her strong rhythm.
Ksenia Mack had another great music workshop for her guitar students. This time with Catie Curtis, the one and only! This is a special feature that all of Ksenia’s guitar students have the privilege to partake in. Catie gave personal instruction on several of her own songs including “Troubled Mind” .
